About the Role You will play a key role in helping an organization in the automotive industry turn new AI regulation into practical ways of working. The focus is on making sure AI-related initiatives are compliant, well-governed, and usable across the business, while supporting better data quality, integrity, security, and accessibility. You will join a small team working with data governance and data compliance across areas such as GDPR, the EU Data Act, and the EU AI Act. In this role, you will work closely with legal, technical, and operational stakeholders to assess risk, build governance structures, and support responsible AI adoption in product development. This is an exciting opportunity if you want to influence how AI compliance is translated into real decisions, processes, and requirements in a complex environment. Job DescriptionYou will drive the implementation of an AI governance framework in line with the EU AI Act. You will develop and improve internal compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures for AI applications. You will interpret and apply the EU AI Act and other relevant AI regulations to automotive use cases in product development. You will work closely with teams across legal, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and compliance to support transparent, explainable, and compliant AI solutions. You will help shape internal policies and training initiatives that promote responsible AI use across the organization. You will monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders and leadership on their business impact. You will contribute to change initiatives and help turn regulatory requirements into practical product development requirements. RequirementsLegal and/or engineering degree such as LL.M, JD, MSc, or equivalent. Strong understanding of AI technologies and their regulatory implications. Proven experience in compliance, legal advisory, or governance roles within the automotive industry. Strong ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into product development requirements. Experience in project management, change management, and/or business analysis. Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management across organizational levels. Fluency in English. Nice to haveExperience with and knowledge of the EU AI Act.
