Available Locations: • Austin, TX • San Francisco, CA About the Team The Business Operations team sits within the CFO organization and is responsible for core company KPI reporting, incubating new analytics capabilities, and leading or facilitating cross-functional initiatives to design and operationalize high-impact programs. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical horsepower to join the team to provide decision-making support to Cloudflare’s strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about problem solving and insight discovery, as well as is excited about rolling the sleeves to prototype MVPs and building high quality processes and tooling that scale with our rapid growth. What you'll do • Work on complex problems: identify root causes of the challenge and/or underlying business drivers, execute in-depth analyses to translate data into meaningful insights and/or repeatable gadgets or processes • Lead projects through the full cycle: from initial scoping, solution design, code execution, QA and to operationalization and enablement • Leverage latest AI technologies incl. Cloudflare OS, Developer Platform, emerging best practices to illustrate what can be possible in how we work • Synthesize audience relevant findings from the data to achieve alignments and support strategic decision making • Assess financial impact of new initiatives, identify approaches to risk mitigation, create forecast model on new metrics as needed • Work closely with Data Engineer and Data Science Team to track core KPIs, create visibility on new initiatives and its impact, and to streamline reporting processes as the projects mature • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to Finance & Executive Leadership Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience • 5+ years of Business Operations, Consulting, Investment Banking or Strategic Finance experience • Bachelor's degree, Data Science master or MBA a plus • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen : ability to zoom in with good attention to detail while still keeping the big picture in mind; excel at translating data into actionable insights or programs • Clear, concise and proactive communicator : ability to synthesize complex data or business problems into actionable information to drive results • Have a strong modeling foundation: high proficiency in building thoughtful, complex and auditable business model and present the outcome in an easy-to-understand format • Versatility : Results-oriented, self-starter, thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; high proficiency in SQL or AI assisted coding required • Advanced/ working proficiency with English mandatory both written and verbal Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. • For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $130,000 - $179,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
