Scopely is looking for a Director of Product, Features to lead the features teams for Star Trek Fleet Command based in Spain, Ireland or the UK. Star Trek Fleet Command s ongoing success goes from strength to strength. Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market. What You’ll Do This individual will own the long-view strategic planning across the game’s Features ensuring alignment between strategic vision and tactical execution. Key responsibilities include: <ul> <li>Own the business performance of the Features function, accountable for delivering game KPIs and guiding decisions which drive sustainable long term growth.</li> <li>Own every aspect of a roadmap that achieves KPI goals set by you and the Product Team. Guiding cross-functional partners such as game designers, UX designers and artists to deliver a product that meets the product’s vision and strategy</li> <li>Formulate product strategy and create engaging game mechanics and core game loops</li> <li>See feature development through from concept to launch, including post launch analysis and optimization, to deliver best in class features that achieve set KPI goals </li> <li>Lead engagement and monetisation for major feature releases, coordinating across disciplines to ensure smooth, high-impact launches which hit KPI targets.</li> <li>Monitor the health of the product ecosystem, using insights to proactively identify opportunities and risks, and implement impactful features and initiatives</li> <li>Identify and create process improvements to support feature development </li> <li>Build a high-performing team, mentoring product managers and operational staff, scaling team capabilities, and fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.</li> <li>Establish institutional knowledge through clear documentation of experiments, retrospectives, and playbooks to ensure consistent learning and improvement.</li> <li>Conduct quantitative analyses of data to provide key insights into product performance and uncover opportunities for further engagement and monetization</li> <li>Leverage player feedback and game data to inform roadmap and feature design solutions. Use competitive market research to identify future opportunities and feature best practices</li> <li>Manage and develop a team of talented Product Managers </li> </ul> What We’re Looking For <ul> <li>Previous work experience with free-to-play games</li> <li>Strong leadership skills.</li> <li>Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability with attention to detail.</li> <li>Understanding of game design concepts and principles.</li> <li>Experience hitting revenue/metric targets on a live game.</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Passion for figuring out how game economies work.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>An MBA or a Degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Finance is a plus.</li> </ul> At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!
