Would you like to combine strategic leadership with in-depth technical expertise in batteries and energy solutions? Cebon Industrial is now looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and further develop the company’s Engineering function while remaining hands-on in technically complex customer projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Head of Engineering – Battery & Energy Solutions, you will be responsible for leading and developing Cebon Industrial’s Engineering function. While the team currently consists of one engineer, you will play a key role in building and expanding the function as the business continues to grow. As the company’s technical expert within battery and energy solutions, you will help shape its technical direction and support its continued growth. The role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on, operational leadership. You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, suppliers and customers across the European Group. As Head of Engineering, you will set the technical direction, develop the team’s ways of working and ensure that customer needs are translated into sustainable, scalable and commercially viable solutions. Monthly travel within Europe is part of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading and developing the Engineering team, including its priorities and ways of working.
Defining the technical roadmap and monitoring developments within batteries, BMS, chargers, power electronics and energy storage.
Leading technical activities in OEM projects, from requirements definition through to implementation.
Translating customer requirements into system architectures, technical specifications and feasible solutions.
Supporting the Sales and Product organisations in customer discussions, tenders, product development and supplier selection.
Driving technical evaluations and make-or-buy decisions.
Ensuring quality, regulatory compliance and risk management while developing the Engineering function’s processes and tools.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:Has a strong technical background within batteries, battery technologies, power electronics or related industrial energy applications.
Has experience leading other engineers, either formally or informally, and driving technical projects. You may already have some leadership experience and are eager to grow into a broader leadership role.
Has worked in a customer-driven organisation or on projects involving OEM customers.
Has experience translating complex technical requirements into structured and scalable solutions.
Is confident making decisions in complex environments and comfortable challenging both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Communicates fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

You are structured, proactive and accountable, with a natural ability to lead and bring others forward. You are motivated to continue developing your leadership skills and take on broader responsibility over time.
