About the role

ELEKS Product Design Office is looking for a Middle/Senior UX Designer in Poland, Croatia and Germany. Our customer is a major German university hospital. The role focuses on designing and continuously evolving the user experience across complex public-facing and internal web applications. REQUIREMENTS • 6+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design • Strong expertise in design systems and complex digital platforms • C1-level German and excellent command of English • Proven experience working in agile, interdisciplinary teams and projects • Willingness to attend approximately 10 on-site meetings in Magdeburg throughout the project • Experience in healthcare, public sector, education, CMS platforms (Drupal, TYPO3, Sitecore, AEM), and the implementation of accessibility standards is a strong advantage • Strong experience in user research, user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and usability • Proven ability to create user journeys, wireframes, user flows, clickable prototypes, and detailed design specifications • Excellent practical knowledge of Figma and FigJam • Practical experience with Miro or comparable collaborative workshop tools • Strong expertise in responsive and mobile-first design approaches • Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring implementation quality • Reliable availability during agreed CET/CEST core business hours RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze and optimize user journeys for different internal and external target groups • Develop and continuously improve information architecture, navigation, and user guidance • Plan and conduct user research, interviews, stakeholder workshops, and usability tests • Create wireframes, clickable prototypes, user flows, and detailed design specifications • Derive functional and technical design requirements from the style guide and approved Figma mock-ups provided under Lot 1 • Define and maintain design tokens, breakpoints, grid systems, and layout rules • Build and evolve a version-controlled design system • Design reusable templates, page types, modules, and components • Develop responsive and mobile-first designs • Define all relevant component and interaction states • Ensure a consistent visual experience across both the website and intranet • Consider long labels, varying content volumes, and multilingual content. • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, BITV 2.0, and EN 301 549 requirements • Design accessible navigation, forms, controls, and interactive components • Conduct design reviews and verify implemented interfaces against approved designs • Collaborate closely with business analysts, frontend and backend developers, quality assurance, content editors, and project management • Document design decisions and provide implementation-ready specifications to the development team • Participate in required on-site meetings in Magdeburg Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
