System Tester

Company description: Ericsson AB Job description: Join our Team About this opportunity: We are looking for a System Tester to join Interstellar, a System Test team within Packet Core R&D. The team is responsible for feature verification, product quality, and continuous improvement of test solutions and ways of working. Interstellar is an experienced and collaborative team with deep product knowledge, a strong quality mindset, and an open culture that encourages knowledge sharing and technical discussions.   This role will strengthen our system test capacity, broaden the team's technical competence, and help identify quality issues earlier through close collaboration with development teams. You will work with complex feature integration, system verification, and troubleshooting across Packet Core solutions, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving challenging system-level problems, continuously learning, exploring AI-assisted engineering approaches, and improving how testing and verification are performed.   The position offers multiple growth opportunities depending on your interests and strengths, including development toward senior system testing, technical leadership, test architecture, Packet Core expertise, software development, CI/CD, quality strategy, solution architecture, or broader technical leadership roles.   What you will do: Verify and validate Packet Core features in complex system environments. Perform system integration and end-to-end feature verification activities. Troubleshoot and analyze complex system-level issues using logs, traces, signaling flows, configurations, and network function interactions. Collaborate closely with TA, TTC, and cross-functional development teams to support feature integration and system verification. Identify quality risks early and drive resolution together with developers and stakeholders. Contribute to improvements in test coverage, automation, and verification efficiency. Investigate feature behavior and system interactions to ensure high product quality. Support continuous improvement of test environments, test methodologies, and ways of working. Explore and adopt new testing techniques and AI-assisted engineering approaches where relevant. Take ownership of challenging verification activities and contribute to system-level quality strategy.   The skills you bring: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Packet Core Connectivity products and solutions. Strong product and system-level competence within the Packet Core Connectivity domain.Proven experience with complex feature integration and system verification. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for complex system-level issues. Experience analyzing signaling flows, logs, traces, configurations, and interactions between network functions. Ability to understand how features behave across a complete system and identify quality risks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to investigations. Experience working closely with developers to improve solutions and product quality. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Interest in continuous learning, experimentation, and improvement of verification practices. Experience with test automation, CI/CD, or quality engineering practices is considered an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge in a collaborative team environment.
