As our Technical Authority for Asset Integrity & Statutory Inspection, you'll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our inspection services. You'll provide expert guidance across statutory inspections, asset integrity, and quality assurance activities while supporting and developing a team of skilled inspectors. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll influence technical decisions, champion best practice, drive continuous improvement, and help build the next generation of inspection professionals.
What you’ll be doing
• Provide technical leadership and oversight across statutory inspections, asset integrity, and quality assurance activities.
• Act as the go-to technical expert for inspection methodologies, standards, procedures, and competency requirements.
• Ensure inspection activities are delivered in line with relevant standards, legislation, client requirements, and accreditation obligations.
• Support and guide inspectors in making sound, risk-based decisions on asset integrity and inspection outcomes.
• Lead technical training, mentoring, and competency development initiatives across the inspection team.
• Develop career pathways and succession plans for inspectors and key technical disciplines.
• Review technical assessments and inspection reports, ensuring quality, consistency, and technical excellence.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
• Support accreditation, audit, and quality management activities.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an experienced  Technical Manager  in asset integrity who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for developing people. You'll enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teams grow, while providing trusted technical leadership across a broad range of inspection activities.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
• Significant experience in asset integrity, statutory inspection, pressure equipment, piping systems, or storage tank inspection.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, API standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience working within accredited inspection environments and quality management systems.
• A proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Sound engineering judgement and the confidence to make risk-based, evidence-driven decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
• AICIP SISI or ISI certification.
• API 510, API 570 and/or API 653 certification.
• CSWIP or other recognised industry certification.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Asset Integrity, Reliability Engineering, Inspection Engineering, or a related discipline.
• NDT qualifications and other relevant industry certifications.
