• Inspect all waterproofing materials upon delivery to verify product quality, expiry dates, and compliance with project specifications.
• Verify that installation crews are properly trained and certified for waterproofing application and safety requirements.
• Monitor surface preparation to ensure substrates are properly cleaned, dry, and prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
• Inspect mixing and preparation procedures for waterproofing products, where applicable.
• Verify the correct installation and application methods for the specified waterproofing system.
• Check that waterproofing materials are installed to the specified thickness, coverage, and project requirements.
• Inspect membrane overlaps, seams, joints, and connections to ensure proper installation and bonding.
• Inspect waterproofing details around pipes, penetrations, corners, construction joints, and other interfaces.
• Conduct and/or witness required quality tests, including adhesion and other applicable waterproofing tests, as specified by the project requirements.
• Document inspection activities through photographs, test results, inspection records, and daily inspection reports.
• Identify deficiencies and non-conformances and follow up on the required corrective actions.
• Verify that completed waterproofing works are properly protected from damage during subsequent construction activities.
• Maintain complete inspection records and coordinate with the project management team regarding progress, quality, and compliance status.
• Ensure that waterproofing works are carried out in accordance with approved project specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant waterproofing inspection experience.
• Strong experience in substructure waterproofing works.
• Experience with TPO/FPO membrane waterproofing systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Sika waterproofing systems and Henkel.
• Good knowledge of waterproofing installation methods, inspection procedures, testing, and quality requirements.
• Ability to identify defects and non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and maintain proper quality documentation.
• Experience working on major construction/infrastructure projects is preferred.
