About us ECDB GmbH is an e-commerce market intelligence provider founded in 2022. The company collects and analyzes worldwide e-commerce transaction data, enriched with comprehensive information on online retailers, countries, regions, and markets, to generate structured insights into the development of global digital commerce. Based on these data-driven analyses, ECDB enables companies to better understand market dynamics, benchmark performance against competitors, and support strategic decision-making within the international e-commerce landscape. Tasks As a Working Student (m/f/d) in our Data team, you help us build and maintain high-quality company data for the e-commerce market:  • Research financial information on online retailers from annual reports, balance sheets and other public sources • Systematically collect and validate financial KPIs such as revenue data • Analyze company figures and help model revenue estimates • Research market and economic topics for our analysts • Help improve our research processes and product Requirements • Enrolled in a German university, majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field • Fluent in English, German is a plus • Structured, precise way of working and a good eye for data quality • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • Familiarity with annual reports, balance sheets, and financial terminology is a plus • First programming experience(e.g., Excel VBA, Python, SQL) are a plus • 15 - 17.5 hours per week, for at least 12 months • Located in Hamburg: one day per week in the office isrequired, the rest can be done remotely Benefits • A modern office in Hamburg’s historic  Speicherstadt  with a unique and inspiring atmosphere • Flexible working hours that fit perfectly with your university schedule – including theoptionto work from home • A steep learning curve and hands-on experience – Take responsibility and actively shape your work • Short decision-making paths and a dynamic, collaborative environment without rigid hierarchies • Valuable practical experience and deep insights into data-driven analysis and strategic project work • Long-term career opportunities with the potential for a permanent role as our company continues to grow Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
